Eren Yeager (エレン・イェーガー, Eren Yēgā) is the protagonist of the Attack on Titan series. He lived in the Shiganshina District Shiganshina District with his parents until the fall of Wall Maria. During the Titan attack Titan attack, he witnessed his mother being eaten by a Titan, which fueled his intense hatred towards them and his determination to eradicate them from the world.

Driven by revenge, Eren enlists in the 104th Training Corps 104th Training Corps alongside his childhood friends, Mikasa Ackerman Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert Armin Arlert. He graduates among the top trainees and joins the Survey Corps Survey Corps, a military branch dedicated to exploring the world beyond the walls and fighting Titans.

Eren possesses the power of the Attack Titan Attack Titan, allowing him to transform into a formidable Titan with enhanced strength and regenerative abilities. He later gains the Founding Titan Founding Titan and War Hammer Titan War Hammer Titan abilities, making him an extremely powerful and influential figure.

As the story progresses, Eren's motivations and actions become increasingly complex and morally ambiguous. He evolves from a simple revenge-driven character into a figure who believes extreme measures are necessary to achieve freedom for his people, even if it means sacrificing the rest of the world. His choices lead to devastating consequences and challenge the notions of good and evil.
